An Authorised Civil Celebrant in Victoria
As a qualified full time Celebrant, I consider myself to be somewhat creative and love going that ‘extra mile’ to deliver ceremonies that not only respect the serious nature of the event but are also engaging, light hearted and often significantly different to other ceremonies you may have seen. Probably due to my former career in education teaching Art/Fashion Design, I not only enjoy creating traditional ceremonies but also those that are different! No two ceremonies are identical.
Having performed hundreds of ceremonies over the past 10 years, I have had much experience (and fun) in assisting couples of all ages and nationalities including those needing Visas.
I understand that every couple’s love story is different therefore a ceremony should reflect this through their personal input, respecting their wishes, cultural needs and values.
My flexibility with ideas and approach will allow you to feel understood and supported throughout the entire planning process and ceremony.
My professionalism, attention to detail and calm manner will instill confidence and peace of mind as you plan one of the most important days of your life. So regardless of what style you choose, your ceremony will be fondly remembered as unique; with an atmosphere of happiness laughter and maybe a few emotional tears.

Joan’s primary career was previously in Education inspiring and building student’s appreciation for Textile Art and Fashion design. Various educational administrative and leadership positions have equipped me with the skills and confidence in public speaking. It was when she had numerous opportunities to attend weddings in designing and making wedding gowns, that she saw the need for a more engaging and light hearted approach to delivering ceremonies. In 2008, Joan became a registered wedding celebrant and immersed herself in creating the added difference to other celebrant’s styles. Joan adores her work, has been privileged to have married many of her past students and gained new friends. She now indulges herself in doing what she loves. Joan believes that she has the best job in the world.
